Job Summary:

A Visual Merchandiser is responsible for creating visually appealing product displays and store layouts to enhance the shopping experience, attract customers, and boost sales. This role involves combining creativity with commercial awareness to design in-store and window displays that reflect the brand identity while optimizing space and product placement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Store & Window Display Design:
  • Develop and execute innovative visual merchandising strategies to showcase products effectively.
  • Design engaging window displays and in-store arrangements that align with the brand’s image.
  • Ensure displays are regularly updated according to seasonal trends, promotions, and inventory changes.
2. Layout & Space Optimization:
  • Plan store layouts to maximize customer flow and product visibility.
  • Utilize planograms and merchandising guidelines to maintain consistency across stores.
  • Work with store managers to optimize product placement for high sales performance.
3. Branding & Marketing Alignment:
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align visual merchandising with campaigns and promotions.
  • Ensure brand consistency in colors, signage, lighting, and overall aesthetics.
  • Develop POS (Point of Sale) displays, promotional setups, and special event designs.
4. Inventory & Product Presentation:
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure proper display replenishment.
  • Arrange mannequins, fixtures, and props to highlight key products or new arrivals.
  • Analyze customer behavior to determine the effectiveness of visual displays.
5. Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with buyers, retail staff, and marketing teams to execute visual merchandising plans.
  • Provide training and guidelines to store teams on maintaining visual merchandising standards.
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors for display materials and props.
6. Trend Analysis & Reporting:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences.
  • Conduct store visits to evaluate display effectiveness and make improvements.
  • Prepare reports on sales performance related to visual merchandising efforts.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and space planning.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and CAD tools (a plus).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of retail trends, consumer psychology, and marketing strategies.

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Typically based in retail stores, showrooms, or corporate offices.
  • May require travel between store locations.
  • Work hours can include weekends and evenings, especially during product launches or seasonal promotions.
  • Entry-level: PKR 58,000 – 125,000 per month
  • Mid-level: PKR 125,000 – 250,000 per month
  • Senior-level: PKR 250,000 – 500,000+ per month
