Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven SEO Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) principles and techniques, as well as the ability to create and implement strategies that improve our website’s search engine rankings, visibility, and organic traffic. You will collaborate closely with content creators, developers, and marketing teams to optimize our online presence and ensure we reach our target audience effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Page SEO Optimization:
- Conduct keyword research to identify high-potential keywords for on-page optimization.
- Optimize website content, including titles, meta descriptions, headings, and images.
- Ensure proper internal linking structure to improve user experience and SEO performance.
- Maintain and update website content for SEO purposes, ensuring alignment with SEO best practices.
- Off-Page SEO & Link Building:
- Develop and implement a link-building strategy to increase domain authority and improve rankings.
- Analyze competitors’ backlink profiles and work on acquiring high-quality backlinks.
- Monitor and manage online reputation and citation building.
- Technical SEO:
- Perform website audits to identify issues related to page speed, crawlability, mobile usability, and more.
- Implement structured data (schema markup) to enhance search engine understanding of website content.
- Work with web developers to fix technical SEO issues, such as broken links, redirects, and site architecture issues.
- Optimize for site speed and ensure the website is mobile-friendly.
- Content Strategy & Optimization:
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into content creation and marketing strategies.
- Monitor and analyze website content performance to identify opportunities for optimization and content gap filling.
- Perform A/B testing on landing pages and other site elements to maximize conversion rates.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.
- Provide regular performance reports, including keyword rankings, traffic data, and overall SEO progress.
- Analyze trends, competitor performance, and changing search engine algorithms to adjust strategies.
- Stay Up to Date with SEO Trends:
- Continuously educate yourself on the latest SEO trends, algorithms, and best practices.
- Attend SEO webinars, conferences, and workshops to stay on top of industry changes.
- Experiment with new SEO techniques and strategies to improve organic search performance.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred, but not always required).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in SEO and digital marketing.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.).
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they pertain to SEO.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress, Joomla, etc.
- Knowledge of technical SEO aspects like page speed, mobile optimization, and structured data.
- Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyze and interpret web analytics and SEO reports.
- Strong understanding of keyword research and competitor analysis tools.
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on improving performance.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to think creatively and strategically.
Additional Requirements:
- Stay updated on the latest search engine trends and algorithm changes (e.g., Google Core updates).
- Knowledge of other digital marketing practices such as PPC, content marketing, and social media marketing is a plus.
- Experience in international SEO (multilingual or multi-region SEO) is a plus.
