Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate QA Engineer to join our software development team. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software products through manual and automated testing. Your role will be critical in maintaining high standards of software excellence, minimizing bugs, and enhancing user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze system specifications and technical requirements
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand project requirements and functionalities
- Develop, execute, and maintain test cases (manual and automated) to ensure software quality
- Identify, document, and track bugs or issues using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
- Perform regression, performance, functional, integration, smoke, and UI testing
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of Agile/Scrum teams
- Suggest and implement process improvements and best practices in testing
- Ensure test coverage across various devices, browsers, and platforms
- Write and maintain clear QA documentation, including test plans and reports
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and assist in troubleshooting
- Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks (if applicable)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role (2+ years preferred)
- Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
- Familiarity with SQL and scripting
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development cycles
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB or other QA certification is a plus
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
