Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, innovative, and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and overseeing the manufacturing of mechanical systems and products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring technical expertise and ensure the successful completion of engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test mechanical devices and systems.
- Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Conduct feasibility studies, research, and analysis to inform design decisions.
- Develop and test prototypes, evaluate performance, and make necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers during the development cycle.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and coordinate with production teams to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during installation and maintenance.
- Prepare project documentation, including design reports, user manuals, and test data.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and project deliverables effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering (X+ years, depending on role level).
- Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, or similar.
- Strong understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in [industry-specific skills, e.g., HVAC systems, robotics, automotive parts].
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with project management tools and practices.
