Job Overview:

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This includes managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws. The HR Manager will work closely with senior management and employees to foster a positive and productive work environment while ensuring that the company’s human capital supports its business goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Staffing:
    • Manage full-cycle recruitment, from job posting to interviewing and hiring new employees.
    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
    • Collaborate with department heads to understand hiring needs and job specifications.
    • Conduct job interviews, prepare offer letters, and manage onboarding processes.
  2. Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding workplace issues and concerns.
    • Manage conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employee grievances.
    • Create and foster a positive work culture, encouraging collaboration and employee engagement.
    • Ensure that the company’s policies align with current labor laws and regulations.
  3. Performance Management:
    • Oversee the performance appraisal process and ensure it aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
    • Implement and manage employee recognition programs.
    • Provide coaching to managers and employees on performance improvement and career development.
  4. Training and Development:
    • Identify and assess employee development needs and design training programs to address them.
    • Develop and implement learning and development initiatives to support employee growth and leadership development.
    • Ensure compliance with mandatory training programs and professional certifications.
  5. Compensation and Benefits:
    • Oversee employee compensation programs, including salary structure, bonuses, and benefits.
    • Conduct market research to ensure compensation packages are competitive within the industry.
    • Manage employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
    • Administer payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  6. Compliance and Legal Issues:
    • Stay updated on local, state, and federal labor laws and ensure company policies comply with regulations.
    • Oversee employee recordkeeping, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal requirements.
    • Ensure workplace health and safety standards are maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  7. HR Strategy and Reporting:
    • Contribute to the development of HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
    • Prepare HR reports, analyze metrics, and present findings to senior management.
    • Continuously improve HR processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  8. Organizational Development:
    • Support change management efforts and organizational development initiatives.
    • Work with senior management to assess organizational structure and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) as an HR Manager or HR Generalist.
    • Strong knowledge of HR practices, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
    • Experience in dealing with complex employee relations issues.
    • Familiarity with HR software (HRIS) and tools (e.g., ADP, BambooHR, Workday).
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
    • Knowledge of labor laws and compliance regulations.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
