Industrial Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Industrial Designer to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing innovative product designs that are not only functional but also aesthetically appealing and aligned with our brand identity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing to bring ideas from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to understand user needs, market trends, and design opportunities.
• Develop concepts through sketches, CAD models, renderings, and physical prototypes.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to ensure designs are feasible and meet performance requirements.
• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for prototyping and manufacturing.
• Present design ideas and concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Select materials, production methods, and finishes to optimize product functionality and cost.
• Iterate designs based on feedback, testing, and usability studies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technology in product design.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of professional experience in industrial design (depending on seniority level).
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of product design work, including ideation, development, and final outcomes.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot, and/or Fusion 360.
• Experience with 3D modeling, rendering, and prototyping.
• Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics.
• Creative problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing consumer electronics, furniture, appliances, or similar physical products.
• Familiarity with design for sustainability and lifecycle thinking.
• Knowledge of UX/UI and human-centered design principles.
• Experience with rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing and CNC machining.
