Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to design, implement, monitor, and manage our local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), ensuring high availability and performance of all critical business applications. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, extensive knowledge of network hardware and software, and a proactive attitude toward network security and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN)
Configure and install software, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, outages, and bottlenecks
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
Collaborate with network architects to optimize system performance
Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement fixes
Document network problems and resolutions for future reference
Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Requirements:

Education & Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA) preferred

Experience:

[2–5+] years of proven experience in a network engineering role
Hands-on experience with network administration, configuration, and troubleshooting

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, TCP/IP)
Experience with firewall configurations (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto)
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG)
Understanding of network security principles and practices
Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus
Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus

Working Conditions:

On-site work with occasional travel to remote offices or data centers
